Harshol-Bloom

Harshol Bloom is a specially developed product designed to address issues such as uneven dyeing, bleeding, and ozone fading during wet processing. When dyed fabric is heat treated, disperse dyes tend to "bloom," causing the dye from the fiber interior to migrate to the surface. This blooming effect can vary based on dye structure, temperature, and duration of heat treatment. Additionally, certain dyes may fade due to ozone or oxides of nitrogen, leading to bleeding, staining, reduced light fastness, and changes in shade.

Harshol Bloom acts as a catalyst to reduce blooming, specifically in cases where blooming is caused by the formation of a magnesium dye complex. It may not be effective in cases where blooming is caused by other factors. It also functions as a sequestering agent in hard water conditions.
